Quick Stop & 10,000 miles reached!
In case you are wondering why we have stopped, everything is fine, we are waiting out some bad weather that’s ahead of us on our route.
After some amazing sailing smattered with some gusty rain squalls we are now anchored at Great Inagua island on the very southern border of the Bahama chain and have been allowed safe harbour here until we can continue our passage.
We are with 4 other yachts (soon to be more) all holed up in a sheltered bay and will likely continue to Miami on Saturday.
We are literally in the lee of a salt island in the middle of the ocean, it’s truly bizarre, but the waters are crystal clear and we’ve been for a swim and are now going onto enjoy some rest time.
We’re trying to upload some photos of the passage so far on to the gallery.
10,000 miles reached since we departed Chichester, now there’s a cause for a celebration!
What an achievement, gang. Congratulations to you all.
