Snorkeling

Hi Everyone!

We were at a very nice place with clear blue water, it was called Formentera and is an island near Ibiza.

We did loads of snorkeling, one time it was a quick in and out at 6pm and dad called me and Sophie to get our swimsuits on and get in the dinghy with our snorkel gear.

We drove as fast as we could all the way to the warmest waters. We got in our gear and took off from the dinghy.

There were white dory fish with a black line before the white tail and one jellyfish. There were thin small fish that was long and also when we went into the rocky bit there were sea urchins, they squeezed in and puffed out. There were sea mushrooms and one other type of fish that were black with orange lines on.

When we went with mum and Jocie the next day there was a big fish that creeped me out, it hid in a cave.

I found snorkeling really fun and not scary at all. Dad taught us how to dive exit from the dinghy and we showed Jocie and mum. Me and Sophie took off as fast as bullets at the same time splashing into the water backwards off the dinghy. It was the best thing I have ever done in the whole trip so far.

If you ever get a chance to go snorkeling, do it! Jocie was scared at first but me and Sophie encouraged her and she did really well and enjoyed it.
